Tara J Boelens

A graduate of the National College of Art & Design, I am based in the Ballyhoura Mountains Co. Limerick. Having lived most of my life in the Irish countryside I am incessantly captivated by the ever changing ‘light’ of the landscapes. My inspiration is taken from nature and stories that I encounter during my time in the wild of the mountains, the tranquillity of the River Shannon and the drama of the sea coasts. I use a vibrant palette of colours to try and capture a moment or scene. In my work I use a variety of mediums including watercolour, pastels, oils & mixed media.
